Wind energy parks are increasingly planned for offshore locations, and this poses new challenges for the operation and inspection of the turbine blades and the tower.

Light Structures has more than 10 years experience with structural health monitoring on GRP and more advanced composites in a marine environment. We have used this experience to develop a monitoring concept that uses our standard sensors and interrogators to monitor a single wind turbine or a group of turbines in an offshore wind park.
